Below, I’ve listed all of the banking options within the city of Lubbock. To help you understand the best option for your specific situation, I’ve broken these down into national banks, regional banks, and credit unions.
National Banks In Lubbock

For our purposes, national banks are those located in multiple states. Some are only in states around Texas or may only be in two states. However, each of the below Lubbock banking options offers multiple locations in at least two states.
These can be an especially good option for students or others who are temporary residents of the city, as banks like Wells Fargo and Chase offer locations throughout the country.
Out of all the national banks, Wells Fargo has the most locations and ATMs in Lubbock and the surrounding areas, with over a dozen branches and ATMs.

This is because they are more community-oriented and geared toward serving residents of the city. If you will be leaving the city in a few years, you will very likely be opening a new bank and transferring funds.
The most popular credit union in Lubbock is ALLIANCE Credit Union. The credit union has eight branches throughout the city, making it convenient to bank with them. Opening an account is easy, and most of the branches have highly positive reviews overall compared to many of the national bank branches in the city.
